When my oldest son, a Marine, left for war and crossed the border from Kuwait into Iraq in March 2003 I started writing my conscience. After two tours that young combat veteran, my first born son, is now permanently disabled suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and his mother is now an ardent peace activist. Today I am active with Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out and on the board of Rural Organizing Project Also, I am CEO of Rogue River Wind, Ltd and the inventor of a low profile wind turbine incorporating a high bandwidth relativistic generator

  1. Ummmm, I just heard Ronnie Opitz stating his mantra: “failure is NOT an option” to the board, after they gave him another $30,000 to “promote” the southern route!!!

    What you say now Ronnie?

What’cha gonna spend that $30,000.00 on now?

I just have to say, I am enjoying this. I have railed against the money these clowns throw around, I urge all of you to watch Ch 14 !

$1,000.00 garbage cans for an empty terminal.

Congratulations every member of the Airport Board !!!

You thought you were fleecing us didn’t you?

    Karma’s a bitch dont’cha know?

    They do now.

    LUCY !!!!!!!!

YOU’VE GOT SOME ‘SPLAININ TO DO !!!!

  2. We will see how they spin this. Honestly, when are people gonna figure out that we need to localize? How many hits in the head and the pocket book does it take?

Hey can I borrow your copy of ‘Free Lunch’? If so, bring it tomorrow to the vigil

    Thanks,

  3. When can we have a task force of community members, young people, retirees, small and big business, enviro, recreation, fishing, timber, artists, craftsman, farmers, educators etc….. devise a plan for our area. What do we want? What kind of jobs to we need and want? Where should these be and how can we best plan development? For some time now, we have had a few people with a very narrow idea – INDUSTRY! WE DON’T CARE WHAT IT IS AND WE DON’T CARE WHAT THEY PROMISE US! No plan and cooperation between communities. Why can’t we just get something like this accomplished? Make a plan and then work to bring people on board?

  4. I think I have two hairs left on my head because I have pulled the rest out.

  5. Believe it or not, we have a task force as you call it forming right here in Coquille! Coquille is not exactly a bastion of progressive thinkers but we are working hard on local foods, localization, etc…

There are similar groups forming in Coos Bay and North Bend and I agree with you we need to dig in county wide and get these people together to form a plan.

My opinion is that we have to make it work in a small location, model it, then sell the concept to community leaders
