Spoiler Alert: Do you remember, that the republicans were down to Mitt and John, when the deal was cut. Mitt stepped aside because he claimed that at a time of war he felt the country was better off with McCain, thus John was rewarded for his loyalty to Bush. Now the script is to reward Mitt for his sacrifice, Newt is a shill to make Mitt appear as the most presentable to the core.
Newt has betrayed them before, and now Mitt is getting worried that they may have betrayed his loyalty. They’re in a real tailspin this time.
